About us

Here is a bit about Double Trouble , and its members.

The Group

Firm friends for over a decade, Double Trouble is made up of two couples who have and continue to enjoy spending time with each other.
When the opportunity arose to sing in a quartet together in the first ever national mixed quartet competition they simply couldn't wait.
A few frantic rehearsals and a lot of laughs later, the moment came in Telford at the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers (LABBS) convention in October 2012.
Competing against some of their most respected fellow singers was a real honour for the quartet and despite stiff competition, they managed to do enough to clinch first place. See the performance in the clip below.

Winning meant that they were the first quartet to be awarded the 'Neil Watkins Memorial Trophy' by Neil's partner Kay Griggs-Wright for which they are both humbled and incredibly grateful.

Another reward for winning is the opportunity to represent the UK in the European competition in March 2013. So work begins to make sure that they represent the UK to the best of their abilities.
Fingers crossed!
